The publication provides an insight into the life of third country students studying in Czech language at the public higher education institutions in Prague. Foreign students studying in the Czech Republic tend to receive more frequent attention from the Czech media rather than from applied research, mainly because of their increasing share in our universities. The study is based on the results of Ministry of education, youth and sports statistics, expert questioning techniques, in-depth interviews and sample survey of such foreign students. Within the applied mixed research, attention was focused on selected areas reflecting the study of the target group of foreigners and their stay in the Czech Republic, e.g. education and job opportunities, family, peers, classmates and friends, life strategies and students‘ plans for the future, as well as public space and student experience with selected institutions in the Czech Republic.
