The Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs (RILSA/VUPSV) launched its bid for an HR Excellence in Research Award in December 2020. This prestigious international award is presented by the European Commission in recognition of the development of human resources in the science and research sectors. The Award provides recipients with a number of benefits such as bonus points concerning grant programmes and increased attractiveness for researchers from both home and abroad.
RILSA launched its bid for the HR Award on 3 December 2020 with a kick-off meeting of its “HR Award for RILSA 2020” internal project with the participation of members of both the Management and Project Teams.
On 18 December 2020, PhDr. David Michalík, Ph.D., DBA, the acting managing director of RILSA, sent a letter to the European Commission in which RILSA subscribed to the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, thus initiating the formal process for obtaining the HR Excellence in Research Award.
On 21 December 2020, RILSA received a favourable response from the European Commission and officially entered the initial phase for the implementation of the first step of the HRS4R human resources strategy.
A new section has been added to the RILSA website to which new information and documentation related to the HR Award agenda will be posted on an ongoing basis. Further information, including the above-mentioned letter to the European Commission and details of the organisational structure of the project and the European Charter for Researchers, is available at: https://old.rilsa.cz/en/about-the-institute/hrs4r-hr-award/
